Move on?

The world is becoming such numb day by day. For last few days wherever on earth, it’s the same anecdotes only changing the colors. Counting bullets and quarters are almost having same meaning, as the currency speaks so loud!

The question Mr. X asks the most, where we are actually going to???

A short solace of Nata Bhairavi from Ravi Shankar.

@Sattva - an indian treat for your baby :)

often when i hear classical desi music, I imagine myself in a dim-lit room, alone, and doing all mundane things with the music just seeping in, to make me feel gooooood!! Thnx. now i regret why i did not heed mom's advice and pursue more diligently hindustani classical music lessons!

And yes, fitting music to show the world the direction, compared to whr it is presently heading!

Nice one, Gift. I believe Nata Bhairavi is a Carnatic raga. The Hindustani Bhairavi is meant to be heard in the early morning - any ideas whether its true of this one as well?

gift, i have heard some shahid parvez, but not enough. put some up if you can...

"chants of india" is actually very basic in terms of 'talent display', but it is arranged nicely. it is a collection of shlokas and recitations (with some original compositions - a mesmerising one called "prabhujee") that together have a very calming effect on me. i play it for A too. :)
